Trivia[]
- Theriamp first became available in Beta 3.1 (1).
- It was originally intended to make the fossil the player didn't choose available after completing the Tandor Championship.
- Prior to 1.2.3, Theriamp used Vigoroth's cry.
- Slothohm and Theriamp are the only Fossil Pokemon that do not belong to the Mineral (Egg Group)
Design Origin[]
Theriamp is based on a Megatherium (a genus of elephant-sized ground sloths from the Pleistocene era) as well as electrical outlets (specifically those manufactured in the USA, Canada, and Mexico).
Name Origin[]
Theriamp comes from megatherium or therion (Greek for "beast") and ampere (the SI unit of electric current.)
