The assessment of suspected cop shooter Tibor Orgona from the veteran detective is as blunt as a sledgehammer to the face.

HUNTER: Suspected cop shooter described as 'complete ass****' Back to video

“He’s a complete ass****, a real f***head,” the cop said, who asked not to be identified because the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate.
He added: “He’s just a muppet.”
Orgona, 21, is the alleged triggerman in a Midtown shooting on Wednesday that sent a 29-year-old Toronto plainclothes cop to emergency with a bullet wound to the gut. Thankfully the young detective, a five-year veteran, is expected to recover.
The most cursory Google search suggests that the cop’s harsh viewpoint might be accurate with Orgona having faced a cornucopia of criminal charges from assault to possession of a bogus firearm. The results of those charges are unknown but he was out on bail at the time of the shooting.
On Thursday afternoon, police announced he was charged with attempted murder, a slew of firearm offences and breaching probation.

Cops say they also have two other suspects in custody in connection to what was described as a robbery investigation. One is a minor.
This is the new way and it’s clear to right-thinking Canadians that the government’s hug-a-thug regimen is putting cops and the public in emergency rooms — and the morgue.
“Almost everyone we arrest is out on bail. No one stays in jail where they belong. Who stays in custody is a moving target and no one is really sure what the parameters are,” the detective told the Toronto Sun. “You can get sprung for the most violent offences now.
“As a result, we’re not only dealing with new arrests but we’re re-arresting people we’ve already arrested. It means 10 times the work.”
The cop said the Toronto Police Service is now in full-blown crisis at a time of a spiking homicide and widespread gun violence that can strike anywhere. Hint: Homicides are up 17% over the same period in 2023.

Recruiting and retaining policing talent has become a nightmare, he added. TPS is just the 50th-highest paid police service in Canada and staffing Toronto would need 700 new cops to catch up to Montreal’s levels.
“People don’t want to come here. Why would they? It used to be fun,” he said. “They can’t bring in good people and we’re losing good people. You can do the work in Peel, York, Halton and Durham and don’t have to commute or shell out $2.5 million for a house.
“Toronto is a total disaster.”
The detective blamed the twin regimes of Justin Trudeau in Ottawa and Mayor Olivia Chow at City Hall.
“The city and the feds just don’t care, it just doesn’t bother them, it doesn’t matter how many die or if a cop gets shot,” he said. “Only [Doug] Ford is trying to do something.”

He also cited exploding immigration with little vetting and as a result, the number of cops on the street has fallen far short of what’s needed to keep the city safe.
Instead, the floodgates have opened in a blissful celebration of poor planning, political correctness and incompetence.
One woman told CP24 outside the scene of the cop shooting: “It’s terrible. This is historically a safe neighbourhood so it is very disturbing.”
Everyone seems to see this except the courts and their political enablers.
How many dead is it going to take to force the government to finally man up and admit that, yeah, we have a problem?
