XYZ Extreme Anchor – Modular Design

Modular design enables fluke made of the 316L stainless steel or aluminum (anodized black or satin). The front saw blade is always made of stainless steel. The new XYZ also comes in complete one part fluke made of 316L or extra strong 17-4PH stainless steel. Design enables XYZ’s huge SST fluke surface part to make 80% of the anchor’s weight. Typical anchor has fluke that makes just 20%-30% of a total anchor’s weight. Aluminium version, with the identical 1150 cm2 fluke surface, weights only 13.5 lb/6kg. XYZ Extreme Anchor is made with precision and has a stunning appearance.

SHANK

A long shank is easy to bend or even break; a short shank is much stronger. The optimum shank is short, strong, and sharp on both the bottom and top edges. Sharp edges allow the shank to cut through bottom, not restricting the anchor’s ability to bury deeply. ALL EXISTING ANCHORS have long shanks simply because the design does not allow them to be shorter.

Distributing most of the weight backward by extending long thick and heavy blade’s surface (Distance A) and reducing distance between shackle point and front fluke’s tip (Distance B) enables excessive force to be transferred at the front fluke’s sharp point. Force on the front tip (on the 11kg/23lbs XYZ) is equal to about force on average anchor of 45kg/100bs.  Specifications
